These terms govern your use of quickbook.uk, the pub updates service WordPress plugin, and the companion iOS app (together, the “Service”), provided by WebStacked (Kevin Smithers, sole trader), 14 Fairfax Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3ET, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

This is general boilerplate, not legal advice — please have a solicitor review it before publishing, particularly the liability and cancellation sections.

1. The Service

The Service lets you manage content on your own WordPress website — opening hours, quiz nights, live music listings, and specials boards — via shortcode zones, and optionally cross-post that content automatically to a Facebook Page and/or Google Business Profile that you connect and authorise.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when subscribing. You’re responsible for keeping your account, WordPress admin access, and any connected Facebook/Google credentials secure. You must only connect Facebook Pages and Google Business Profiles that you own or are authorised to manage on behalf of your business.

3. Subscription, fees and billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis, with fees and billing periods as shown at checkout on quickbook.uk. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law or as we otherwise agree. We may change our pricing with reasonable notice before your next billing period.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you’ll retain access until then. We may suspend or terminate your account for non-payment or breach of these terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else’s rights, or to connect a Facebook Page or Google Business Profile you are not authorised to manage. We may suspend the Service if we reasonably believe it’s being misused.

6. Third-party platforms

Publishing to Facebook and Google Business Profile depends on those platforms’ own availability, policies, and API access, which are outside our control. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or restrictions imposed by Meta or Google that affect the Service.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you create and publish through the Service. We retain ownership of the Service itself (the plugin, app, and website).

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, and our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

9. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update the Service or these terms from time to time. We’ll post updated terms here and, for material changes, notify active subscribers by email.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
